THIS IS AN ALERT FOR TAX-PAYING IDAHOANS WHO VOTE

 Yes on Prop 1 Means:

  • Better choices at the ballot box.
  • Better solutions to solve real problems for all tax-paying Idahoans.
  • Better leaders who are accountable to all tax-paying Idahoans.
  • Ensures that the winning candidate has broader support among all tax-paying Idahoans.
  • Drains the Swamp of career politicians.

In a taxpayer funded election, all voters - regardless of their party affiliation - should be able to vote for the candidate they like most. And yet, over 275,000 voters in Idaho today are denied a vote under the current system because they do not belong to either the Republican Party or Democratic Party.

Proposition 1 gives taxpaying Idahoans the freedom to vote in all elections without having to align with a political party. By restoring Idaho’s tradition of open primaries, Prop 1 will give the power back to people, not political party elites, so we can elect leaders who focus on solving real problems - not distractions and controversies that turn us against each other.

Together with Open Primaries, Ranked Choice Voting gets Idaho back to how elections used to be – electing leaders who reflect our values and want to preserve our way of life and who reject the extreme partisanship that’s being driven by corporate special interest money.  Ranked Choice Voting takes power away from party bosses and out of state elites, and gives taxpaying Idahoans control.
